Prepare for a night unlike any other — a mammoth mashup of colossal fossils and symphonic sounds.
The Acadiana Symphony Orchestra and Conservatory of Music and the Lafayette Science Museum present Acadiana’s premier costume event: The Baroque & Bones Costume Ball!
Debut your Halloween ensemble in the grand gallery — or create a custom costume. Think scales and tails, feathers and strings. Or wear what you will and just give us a toothsome smile while you enjoy savory hors d’oeuvres from The French Press and signature cocktails.
Don’t let the good times die. This fête continues at the upstairs after-party, with DJ tunes and the ultimate costume contest.
This event is a fundraiser for the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra and Conservatory of Music and the Lafayette Science Museum, which will share event proceeds. These community partners are raising funds for two projects:
ASO recently launched a five-year initiative to integrate music with STEAM education (curricula in science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics). LSM continues its collaboration with Dr. James Martin, a highly regarded paleontologist. Martin and a team of experts will visit an Oregon dig site to resume the excavation of a rare fossil, a giant camel called Megatylopus.
