Local pop piano man Hunter DeBlanc takes the stage at the new Grouse Room downtown on Wednesday night with his Janky Piano Show. The performance will be an intimate concert with games and prizes to coincide with his mix of radio hits and catchy originals.

Friday night will see up-and-coming accordionist Mason Trail and his Zydeco Rhythm at Cowboy's Nightclub. Curley Taylor and Zydeco Trouble will also have folks on the dancefloor over the weekend with a show at the Blue Moon on Saturday. Singer/songwriter Derrick Savoie is set to play down the street at the Hideaway that same night. Traditional acoustic supergroup Creole Trio will also be playing the Hideaway with a Sunday evening of old school La La.

This edition of Lafayette Weekly comprises a mix of zydeco, old-time French, and modern pop from the local artists featured this week. You'll hear the latest singles from Hunter DeBlanc and Curley Taylor, tracks from Mason Trail's debut album Blame It On My Roots and ballads from Derrick Savoie. A few songs from Creole Trio members Cedric Watson, Terry Domingue, and Chucky Bush are included from their large combined discography with Bijou Creole, the Zydeco Bad Boys, and Beau Jocque's Hi Rollers.
