We're starting to see more actual live music pop up in town as we move into June. My Place Bar and Grill on Foreman Dr. (formerly the Wild Salmon) is hosting concerts in their parking lot under a tent. Other establishments like Artmosphere and Rock'n'Bowl are allowing a limited amount of costumers to enter their buildings.

Many artists are still actively entertaining us via the web. This Tuesday, modern bluesman Michael Juan Nunez will be taking over 106.3 FM's Facebook page for a live virtual concert. Acclaimed Cajun trio T'Monde will also stream a performance for their weekly Wine Wednesday series.

I'll be featuring several of the artists performing this week for this edition of Lafayette Weekly. You'll hear electric blues-rock from Nunez alongside his Acadiana guitar-slinging contemporaries like Sonny Landreth and C.C. Adcock. I'll match tracks for T'Monde with tunes by Bonsoir Catin, Feufollet, and the Red Stick Ramblers. A bit of zydeco and classic Creole from Geno Delafose, Beau Jocque, and Amédée Ardoin are in the mix as well.
