The Bayou Festival & Boat Parade is a community celebration that invites everyone to explore the Vermilion River. Whether you paddle a canoe, kayak, or motorboat, you can join in on a 10-mile scenic journey down the bayou. Afterward, head to Southside Park for the Bayou Vermilion Mini-Fest, featuring food, drinks, games, and live music.
Festivals Acadiens et Créoles is one of Lafayette’s most beloved events. It celebrates Cajun and Creole culture through food, music, and art. Enjoy traditional dishes, listen to Cajun and zydeco bands, and browse the crafts fair. The festival also includes a 5K and 10K run to stay active while indulging in the local cuisine.
Gulf Brew is the largest craft beer festival in Acadiana, offering over 200 varieties of craft beer to sample. The event is hosted by the Acadiana Center for the Arts in downtown Lafayette and features live music and a Family Fun Zone. Additionally, the festival crowns a "King and Queen of the Brew" in a fundraising competition supporting the Center’s education programs.
