Are you ready to DTA!...virtually?

In the interest of public safety and accordance with governmental guidelines, Downtown Alive! is going virtual for the Fall 2020 season! The 37th season of DTA! is presented by Evangeline Maid and will be streamed on the Downtown Alive! Facebook page. Musicians are filmed live from Rock 'n' Bowl de Lafayette in the heart of Downtown Lafayette.
DTA! will take place on Friday nights, with streaming beginning at 6 pm. Viewers can watch the virtual live performances by tuning in to the main Downtown Alive! Facebook page.

10/2 Virtual Downtown Alive!: Jourdan Thibodeaux et Les Rôdailleurs
About the Artist - Jourdan Thibodeaux et Les Rôdailleurs is straight from the blackjack boggy woods of Cypress Island, Louisiana. Jourdan is one of only a small number of young people speaking Cajun French today, and his soulful singing and fiddling are the perfect medium for his ever-growing repertoire of original Louisiana French songs. His musical ability and his crafty songwriting which is at once classic and progressive has afforded him a band comprised of some of the finest artists in Acadiana today: Cedric Watson, Alan Lafleur, Joel Savoy, and Jay Miller. About the Artist - Rusty Metoyer and The Zydeco Krush is a young, energetic Zydeco band from Lake Charles, LA. They play everything from traditional Creole French songs to nouveau Zydeco music. They offer a great show that is suitable for all ages and have been known to make a crowd move. The band performs regularly in Louisiana and Texas for a wide variety of events, including festivals, night clubs, trail rides, corporate events, casinos, and private parties. What makes Metoyer’s music unique are the noticeable influences from many different genres such as funk, rock and roll, rhythm and blues, country, hip hop, and soul. About the Artist - A unique mix of musicians come together to form the Cajun power group, The Daiquiri Queens. Hailing from Lafayette and New Orleans, this female-fronted group brings influences ranging from early-era Cajun standards performed with twin fiddles and haunting vocal harmonies sung in Louisiana French to today’s Cajun hits.

About the Artist - With the mission of providing life care services for the aging, retired and elder musicians and artists in our community, Blue Monday Allstars provide a fabulous night of music with a top-notch band featuring some of Acadiana's musical treasures.
