After floods closed the African American Museum and the Museum of the Acadian Memorial in 2016, we are pleased to reopen the museums to the public.  Riboon-cutting at 10am.  The Okra Cook-Off brings cooks from around the region to compete in offering okra specialties, and some of the best food you've ever eaten.   Entries and other specialties will be available for purchase, along with other vendors.   Tour du Teche kicks off its second day of paddling near the Evangeline Oak at 7am and at 9am.  And the Istre sisters bring their documentary, First Cousins, at 11am in City Hall.   First Cousins brings the Cajuna nd Creole cultures together through their shared history and love of music.
