Lafayette, LA, January 8, 2019 - The Martin Luther King, Jr., Holiday Committee of Lafayette has set the following activities and programs for January 19-21, 2019.

 

Saturday, January 19, 2019

Musical Extravaganza                                                      1:00 p.m.

Martin Luther King Youth Pageant                                    4:00 p.m.

 

Sunday, January 20, 2019

Martin Luther King Holiday Parade                                   3:00 p.m.

 (The parade will start at the Martin Luther King Center located at 309 Cora Street and process down MLKing Memorial Parkway (Willow Street) and conclude at the Clifton Chenier Center/Church of Philadelphia.  There is no cost to participate in the parade; however, pre-registration is required.  Consumption of alcoholic beverages by parade participants is prohibited.  The use of horses and four-wheelers in the parade is also prohibited.)

Parade Marshal:  Mr. Greg Davis

The parade will start at the Martin Luther King Center, 309 Cora Street and process down MLKing Memorial Parkway (Willow Street) and conclude at the Clifton Chenier Center/Church of Philadelphia.
