Acadiana Symphony Orchestra and Acadiana Center for the Arts are pleased to present The Listening Room Chamber Music Series, a new collaboration launching in 2022. The Listening Room offers another way to experience world-class symphonic music, in a smaller, more intimate, salon-style setting. Concerts are held in the AcA's James Devin Moncus Theater, which is converted to take on the feel of a living room or parlor. In this setting, audiences will enjoy a rich repertoire of lesser-known, but highly-regarded classical music works, performed by small chamber ensembles and guest musicians from around the world. This type of musical experience has a longstanding history in classical music, but has traditionally had very little presence in Acadiana's local, cultural fabric. The Listening Room aims to enrich and diversify the regional cultural offerings, by adding another unique and distinctive option for people to experience the symphony.
