State of Emergency

As of August 12, Gov. John Bel Edwards declared a state of emergency for the entire state of Louisiana as a result of severe weather. The declaration is in effect until Saturday, Sept.10, 2016. Information for the public regarding roads is available at 511la.org. Additionally, the Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness is constantly updating their social media accounts and has emergency resources available at GetAGamePlan.org and at Emergency.LA.gov.

The Lafayette Convention & Visitors Commission is working with our hotel partners to gather hotel availability in Lafayette Pairsh for those displaced by the storm as well as first responders in need of overnight accommodations.
