Below are a selection of tours offered complimentary of the hosts. Once we receive confirmed registration for the meeting, participants who select a post tour will be advised of their status.

All post-tours will pick up from Lafayette on Sunday, Oct. 15 and depart from the nearest airport on Oct. 17 or 18.

Louisiana Northshore Choose Your Experience

Louisiana's Northshore

Just across the lake from New Orleans, St. Tammany Parish, aka the Louisiana Northshore, offers visitors quirky towns, soft adventure in majestic green spaces, and a vibrant, diverse culinary scene that embraces farm to table as well as the perfect seafood gumbo.

Fam participants will stay at the elegant boutique Southern Hotel in downtown Covington’s historic district, eat at great spots like Oxlot 9, La Provence and the fabulous Liz’s Where Y’at Diner, as well as enjoy an afternoon on the lake in a pontoon boat. 

We’re serving up a Northshore smorgasbord, so choose your pleasures. Among the options are a visit to the Madisonville Wooden Boat Festival on the banks of the Tchefuncte River; nature walk with Native American historian/musician Grayhawk Perkins; tour and tasting at Abita Brewery; checking out the little shops in old Mandeville; a tour of the pristine Honey Island Swamp or a kayak paddle down Cane Bayou.

A Taste of Shreveport-Bossier: Louisiana’s Other Side

Explore Shreveport-Bossier: Louisiana’s Other Side during two fun-filled autumn days. From zip lining through an alligator-filled swamp at Gators and Friends Alligator Park and Exotic Zoo to sampling Louisiana’s famous drive-through daiquiris and dining at local institutions like Herby-K’s and Strawn’s Eat Shop, this two-day “crash course” in Shreveport-Bossier’s unique blend of cultures will be filled with art, adventure and great local eats.

Trip will begin on Sunday, Oct. 15 and end on Tuesday, Oct. 17. Accommodations, meals, ground transportation and admission fees will be complimentary to participants.
