Great Harvest specializes in whole-grain breads and muffins made with Montana wheat. They offer a variety of fresh-baked bread, including sourdough, whole wheat, and rye. If you have a favorite, consult their baking schedule to get the freshest loaf right out of the oven. For example, cinnamon extreme is available Monday through Saturday, but pumpkin pecan swirl is only available on Fridays.

One of the most well-known bread wholesalers in town, Langlinais has been around since the 70s. Spend any time in downtown Lafayette, and you will experience the scents wafting from the bakery. Don't expect a cozy cafe with warm smells of freshly baked bread here. Langlinais is a no-frills wholesale bakery whose goal is to ensure every po'boy served up in Cajun country is on a properly made po'boy bun. They do sell to the public in bulk, however.

Straw Cove is a wholesale bakery and flour mill. The company uses a stone mill for the freshest flour and, in turn, the freshest bread possible. You can find their bagels, baguettes, and sourdough throughout town, including Coffeeweed Cottage, Champagnes Supermaket, Little Veron's and a number of restaurants and cafes.

Boscoyo Baking

Boscoyo breads are made with ancient organic, heirloom, and modern grain varieties, and they are stone milled by Barton Springs Mill in the Texas hill country. They are primarily leavened using a sourdough culture, processed by hand, and never contain chemical additives, preservatives, or dough conditioners. Daily bread offerings change occasionally, but a few loaves include ciabatta, baguettes, and more unique offerings such as méteil, an ancient French process that mixes wheat and rye flour.

La Madeline is a regional restaurant chain with locations in Covington, Baton Rouge, and Lafayette. It offers all things French, including coffee, quiche, wine, French pastries, and, of course, bread.
