Travel Expert, and Host Colleen Kelly returns for the seventh season of her successful PBS series, Family Travel with Colleen Kelly, where she highlights various unique destinations and showcases each entertaining and educational activities for people of all ages.
Lafayette, Louisiana, is featured in the second episode, which is currently airing on PBS and available to watch on demand - https://www.pbs.org/video/lafayette-louisiana-vCwPDK/. In the episode, Kelly visits during Mardi Gras, where she attends the Queen's Parade and experiences a courir de Mardi Gras. She also samples King Cake and learns how to peel and eat boiled crawfish before taking a fast-paced ride on an airboat across the Atchafalaya Basin. Also featured in the episode is GRAMMY award-winning Zydeco musician Chubby Carrier for some breakfast and dancing.
