Lafayette Travel is proud to host the International Food, Wine, & Travel Writers Association (IFWTWA) Convention to Lafayette, Louisiana, October 12-15, 2025. The convention will bring esteemed travel writers from across the country for an immersive experience in the heart of Cajun and Creole country.
Throughout the three-day convention, presented by the Louisiana Office of Tourism, attendees will take part in activities, tours, panels, and exclusive tastings. They’ll also experience Lafayette’s live music scene, historic sites, and distinctive landscapes during private day tours.
"We are thrilled to explore Lafayette's culinary, cultural, and diverse musical scene in welcoming Louisiana style during IFWTWA's 2025 Professional Development Conference," says IFWTWA President Cori Solomon. "From Cajun & Creole food and music to the outdoors and historic culture, our members will fully immerse themselves in everything Lafayette has to offer."
"We’re excited to welcome IFWTWA to Lafayette Parish this month,” said Ben Berthelot, President & CEO of Lafayette Travel. “This convention is yet another opportunity to capture earned media for the area. We expect to see the impact for years to come through relationships built and future stories and content shared about the area.”
The IFWTWA Convention is an annual gathering, providing writers and content creators a platform to network, learn, and deepen their understanding of destinations worldwide. Hosting the event allows Lafayette Travel to generate valuable media exposure, increase visitor engagement, and create greater awareness of the city’s attractions and local businesses.
